My creative husband has an idea to decorate our little house. Make it more attractive and beautiful.
He planned to make a thread ball lamp. A decorative lamp with a ball shape made from thread.
You can also make the same thread ball lamp by your self.

All you need are:
- a medium size ball of yarn
- balloon
- white glue (usually used for wood, Rajawali brand)
- tapioca starch/maizena starch
- margarine/oil
- medium paint brush
- washbowl/small pail
- water
What you have to to do:
- Blow balloons and rub with margarine or oil
- Mix 2 tablespoon of glue, 2 tablespoon of tapioca/maize starch. Add some water. Stir well until the mixture resembles a thick sauce forms. (You can choose between tapioca or maize, but I prefer tapioca because it give a bright white color)
- Put the thread into the mixture until all parts of the yarn covered

Covered balloon by thread |
- Then cover the balloon with the yarn randomly, but make sure all surfaces of the balloon are covered evenly.
|
Let the thread dry |
- Then dried it under sunlight.
|
Dried thread ball |
- After dried out, flatten the balloon and remove from the thread ball.
- So, here there are, the dried thread ball. So cute aren't they!
- Then, put the lamp inside the thread ball
